Students selected to participate in AFNR1 are self-identified as wanting to pursue a post-secondary education. AFNR1 introduces students to the expanses of the food we eat, the planet we live on, and the people, plants and animals we share it with. Students are encouraged to develop the habits of mind and academic disciple necessary to succeed in college. Students choose a pathway and are mentored as they discover what interests them. Students are also required to take a leaderhip role in FFA.
